1. The service and these terms
Roami (漫寻) provides an iPhone app, public website and account service for personal travel memories, photo-derived footprints and illustrated stamp collections. The operator and contact details displayed with these terms identify the service provider. These terms apply to the service you actually use, alongside the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular feature.
Development previews and test builds may be incomplete. A design image, roadmap or preview does not promise a release date, worldwide coverage or continued availability of a feature. Apple’s applicable App Store and platform terms also govern your relationship with Apple.
2. Eligibility and your account
Use your own authorized Apple Account and provide only information you are permitted to provide. You must have the legal capacity or guardian authorization required in your location. The current service does not provide a dedicated child-account enrollment process.
Keep control of your device and account, and notify Support if you suspect unauthorized access. We do not ask for your Apple password or verification code. Account access may depend on an active Roami session, a valid Apple authorization and network availability. Do not transfer, sell or share authentication credentials to bypass account controls.
3. Permission to use Roami
Subject to these terms and applicable platform rules, you may use the app and website for lawful personal travel journaling. This permission does not transfer ownership of the app, service, artwork or underlying technology to you.
You may use ordinary app features to view your collection and personal memories. You may not redistribute the app or its artwork commercially, remove ownership notices, or copy protected service materials except where permission, an express license or applicable law allows it.
4. Your photos and profile material
You retain your rights in photos and material you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use them, including the rights of people whose information appears in them. Selecting a photo does not grant Roami a general right to publish, sell or train models on your photo library.
The current visit service receives the metadata needed to validate a visit rather than the original photo. Your locally selected avatar and display name are used for your profile as described in the Privacy Policy. If you send material to Support, you authorize its use to address your request, not an unrelated publicity use.
5. Footprints and supported places
A usable photo location can create a device-local footprint. Awarding a stamp is a separate feature that requires a match to a place in the current supported catalog and validation by the service. A visible footprint does not guarantee that a stamp is available for that location.
The current catalog is limited and does not represent every city, country or attraction. Photo metadata may be missing, edited, inaccurate or affected by time-zone and device-clock differences. The service may reject unusable evidence. Footprints and awards are personal records, not certified proof that you visited a place.
6. Visit and stamp rules
Historical evidence can restore a visit and grant one default memory stamp per supported place. Eligible new visits are grouped using the place’s local calendar day. Reimporting the same evidence is designed to avoid duplicate visits or awards. A new eligible visit may reveal a design from that place’s available series, subject to designs already collected and the current catalog.
An envelope animation displays the award confirmed by the server; repeating or skipping the animation does not create an additional award. Stamps are digital personal keepsakes. They have no promised cash value, investment return, redemption right or resale market. The current service does not offer paid random draws or a trading marketplace.
7. Explore responsibly
Maps, place suggestions, images and stamp information are for personal reference. They are not navigation, safety, accessibility, opening-hours or legal-access guarantees. Check current conditions and authoritative local information before travel.
A map marker or stamp never grants permission to enter private, closed, restricted or unsafe land. Respect local law, property, other people and the environment. Do not use the app while an activity requires your full attention, and do not rely on it for emergencies.
8. Misuse that is not allowed
Do not use Roami unlawfully, infringe another person’s privacy or rights, impersonate someone, submit another person’s private itinerary without permission, or use forged evidence to exploit award or account rules.
Do not attack the service, bypass authentication or technical limits, introduce malicious code, or make automated requests that materially disrupt normal use. Security investigation, interoperability and other activities protected by applicable law are not restricted beyond what that law permits. Report suspected vulnerabilities through Support without exposing private account information.
9. Availability and data continuity
Network connectivity, iOS permissions, Apple services, map availability and catalog coverage affect the experience. iOS controls background execution; Roami does not promise uninterrupted or continuous scanning after the app is suspended or closed.
The current regional architecture uses one authoritative account and collection database. A regional route does not guarantee that every request stays in that region. We may maintain, correct or update the service, and may need to limit features for security, technical or legal reasons. We will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law. Keep your own original photos; Roami is not a photo-backup service.
10. Fees and future paid features
The current app does not provide an operational subscription or in-app purchase flow, and this website does not take payments. Do not assume that a development payment screen or an unconfigured product is an available paid offer.
If paid features are introduced, the price, included features, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refund arrangements will be clearly presented before purchase, together with applicable Apple terms. No new fee or recurring charge is created merely by reading this website or collecting a current stamp. Any statutory cancellation and consumer rights remain available.
11. Logging out and deleting an account
You may stop using the service, log out, manage Apple authorization or request account deletion in the app. These actions have different effects: logging out ends the presented session, while account deletion requests removal of the server account and its linked collection records. Details and local-storage limits are explained in the Privacy Policy.
A confirmed deletion may permanently remove your collection and cannot be assumed recoverable. Your original photo library is unaffected. If deletion reports an error, consult Support rather than assuming every step completed. Deleting the app or stopping Apple sign-in alone does not send the same server account-deletion request.
12. Restrictions and service termination
We may restrict account access where reasonably necessary to investigate a security incident, prevent serious misuse, comply with law or respond to a material breach of these terms. Restrictions should be proportionate to the reason and do not remove mandatory consumer or privacy rights.
Where permitted and practical, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact Support about an apparent mistake. If the service is discontinued or materially changed, any notice, data-access opportunity or remedy required by applicable law will apply. This clause does not authorize arbitrary confiscation of purchased rights.
13. Third-party services and links
Apple sign-in, Apple Maps, the App Store and network hosting are supplied by third parties. Their availability and separate terms can affect Roami, and external links may take you to a service we do not control.
Read the applicable provider terms and privacy notices before using those services. A link does not mean that a third party endorses Roami or that Roami endorses all content on that service. Roami remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.
14. Accuracy and responsibility
We aim to provide the service with reasonable care, but photo metadata, maps, catalogs and development features can contain errors or interruptions. Review important travel details against authoritative sources and report a problem through Support.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service does not guarantee that every photo produces a footprint or stamp, that all records are error-free, or that access will never be interrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable responsibility for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, gross negligence, personal injury or mandatory consumer guarantees. No blanket waiver or fixed monetary liability cap is imposed by this notice.
15. Changes, disputes and contact
The version and effective date on this page identify the current terms. Material changes will be explained through appropriate notice, and a new agreement will be requested where required. Changes do not remove rights already protected by applicable law.
For a service problem or dispute, first contact the channel on Support so we can understand the issue. You retain any mandatory right to complain to a regulator or bring a claim in a court available under applicable law; these terms do not impose a chosen exclusive foreign court or mandatory private arbitration. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions apply to the extent lawful. English and Simplified Chinese versions are provided for readability; applicable mandatory law governs any conflict that affects your rights.
